The Ferrari Challenge 2025 debuts at Monza: an adrenaline-fueled race.

07 April 2025

The Ferrari Challenge is back, and the Ineco Reparto Corse RAM team returns to the track after a season of great success, ready to fire up the engines for an exciting new year.

Under the sky of the legendary Monza circuit, the first competition of the season delivered a spectacular show, not without dramatic moments that left everyone holding their breath.

In addition to high-level racing, the weekend was marked by two dramatic events that shook the spectators. During Race 1 of the Coppa Shell AM, a chain reaction incident involved four cars. Then on Sunday, just minutes before the end of Race 2 of the Coppa Shell, during one of the race’s most critical moments, a car went airborne at the Parabolica, flying over the track and crashing violently. The scene was shocking, but fortunately, the outcome was the best possible: no driver was seriously injured. A powerful reminder that safety remains at the heart of this sport.

Once again this year, the familiar names from last season return to the Ferrari Challenge for the Ineco Reparto Corse RAM team: Manuela Gostner, Shintaro Akatsu, and Zois Skrimpias—drivers who led the standings throughout the previous season. Joining them are two new drivers who immediately stood out: Felix Hirsiger and Germana Tognella.

In Qualifying 2 of the Pirelli Trophy, Felix Hirsiger secured pole position, recording the fastest lap for the second race. However, despite his impressive pace, the final result saw him finish further down the field.

In Race 1, Felix Hirsiger faced a tough challenge in the Pirelli Trophy, gaining valuable experience on such a technical and iconic circuit. Manuela Gostner showcased her skill in the Coppa Shell with a solid and hard-fought race, while in the Coppa Shell AM, Shintaro Akatsu delivered a podium-worthy performance and Germana Tognella finished with determination.

In Race 2, Felix Hirsiger once again set the fastest lap in the Pirelli Trophy, confirming his talent, even if the final placement didn’t reflect his potential. In the Coppa Shell, Zois Skrimpias battled until the very end and claimed an excellent second place, while Manuela Gostner continued her steady run. In the Coppa Shell AM, Germana Tognella improved on her previous result, delivering a performance full of character.

The Monza event marked the start of a season that promises to be packed with emotion. The season has only just begun, and the best is yet to come!
